5 Days Uganda Gorillas & Wildlife Safari

Detailed safari

Day 1: Pickup and drive to Queen Elizabeth national park

Today, you will be received by our expert driver-guide at the airport or hotel for the start of this 5 days adventure in Uganda. He will brief you about the entire trip, before getting behind the staring wheel for a 5-7 hours’ scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth national park-a medley of wonders and the most visited conservation area in Uganda. Dinner and overnight is the last activity of the day.

Day 2: Queen Elizabeth national park; Game drive and boat cruise

Waking up very alert, you will enjoy a mouthwatering breakfast meal at the lodge, followed by a rewarding 3-4 hours’ drive across the different parts of the park, to look out for prey and predators, birds, and primates among others. Some of the rare mammals, birds and primates to look out for include; lions and leopards on a lucky day, elephants, several antelope species, zebras, lovebirds, Ruwenzori Turaco, buffalos, and warthogs among others.

After the game drive, you will have lunch break, followed by 2:00 pm boat cruise at the famous Kazinga channel, infested with Hippos and crocodiles, yet receiving daily visitors such as mammals, and birds, that you will see while on your 2-3 hours’ boat cruise. The day ends with dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable national park via Ishasha sector

At sunrise, you will greet your intestines with a yummy breakfast meal and then check out of the Lodge to Bwindi Impenetrable national park. You will drive via the Ishasha sector, where you will spend 2-3 hours tracking the rare tree-climbing lions.

With luck, you will find one or two resting right on the tree branches. Thereafter, the journey continues, with another stop for lunch, before an evening arrival to your lodge at Bwindi national park – home to the highly sought after mountain gorillas.

Day 4: Gorilla trekking and cultural encounter in Bwindi Impenetrable national park

After an early morning breakfast meal, you will join your colleagues at the sector headquarters for a pre-trekking briefing which lasts for approximately for 30 minutes. The park rangers will explain the does and don’ts while with the creatures in the jungle, as well as allocation to the gorilla group of your choice. The tracking experience may last for approximately six hours, with one other hour to watch these creatures as they play, relax, or socialize.

The search is to the different corners of the park, right from where the apes were last seen the previous day. Beyond the Gorillas, expect to come face to face with some rare tree species, primates, reptiles, and birds among others.

After the reunion with your cousins, you will return to the lodge for lunch and refreshment, followed by an amazing cultural encounter with the Batwa pygmies visit late in the after, before a rewarding sunset drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 5: Departure to Kampala

AT sunrise, you will enjoy a breakfast meal at the lodge and then check out of the lodge for a remarkable drive back to Kampala or Entebbe international airport for your flight. This route also enables you to glance at the flourishing vegetation, Ankole long horned cows on a good day, and the rolling hills among.

There will be an en-route stopover at the Equator to watch the illustrations and enjoy a mouthwatering lunch meal, before proceeding to Kampala for a night flight.
