A day or more with the Congo gorillas is worth your time and money. It is only done in the continent of Africa, with the Democratic Republic of Congo being one of them. It was formerly known as Zaire, but now the Democratic Republic of Congo, a name that came on 1st Aug 1964 in sub-Saharan central Africa. French is their official language, though English is well distributed throughout the country. It is bordered by South Sudan to the northeast, Uganda, Burundi, and Rwanda to the east, the Republic of Congo to the North West, Tanzania to the south, and the Central African Republic to the north.  Gorilla trekking is the main tourist activity in this area, with two unique Gorilla species to pick from, in two rewarding destinations. Gorillas are the most powerful group of Apes in the world, possessing over 95% human DNA. They are very exciting to watch and track, though for long hours, depending on how far they have moved, and one’s hiking pace.
